Dawsy Bossy Boo! Such a Trooper

So Dawson smashed his finger in the trundle bud nearly four weeks ago and just this last weekend (while we were otherwise occupied) it became very red & inflamed. Long story.....3 hours in the Urgent Care and an allergic reaction to an antibiotic, another MD visit by our new Pediatrician Joseph Smith, a referral to an orthopedic surgeon & a 4 1/2 hour visit w/ more x-rays culminating with a SURGERY all for a smashed finger! AY, AY, AY. Did I mention Matt is out of town this week & Dawson's Uncle Craig had just passed away under general anesthesia 2 weeks ago? I was a basket case, but Dawson was a rock, one would never know he was hurting. Official diagnosis, Osteomyelitis. We are awaiting culture results to find out whether or not he will need a PICC line and infusion therapy x 1 month.

First of all, oh my HECK!!! Second of all, Dawson is huge and third...HIS poor hand. All of your medical jargon flew right over my head, I just hope he is alright and YOU too!

What a nightmare!! I would say poor Dawson, but he seems to be OK. So I guess I will say poor Heather!! Hope he's truly OK.

Hope he is doing ok-you have had a couple of rough weeks. We were shocked to hear everything when Neldon talked to Matt the other day. I hope you get a rest from the chaos soon.

WHAT? wow...there was so much in that paragraph to comment on. in no particular order...Dr. Joseph Smith! All for a smashed hand over 4 weeks ago? What is Osteomyelitis? Terrible about your family member who passed away! Terrible that Matt was out of town! Terrible that he was allergic!
Wow! You need a vacation!

Oh no, I'm so sorry about all of that! It always seems to happen when the husband is gone. Every time Matt got deployed, I started expecting major catastrophes...our Jordan also had an almost fatal reaction to penicillin (of course Matt was gone too). So sorry about the passing of Craig (your family member)...that is so hard. Hope you get a break.
